Discover The Costa Blanca’s Best Beaches

Every year holiday makers flock to Spain for several reasons, the fabulous weather, the great food, and not least the wonderful beaches. The Costa Blanca region of the country has some fantastic beaches with things to do for people of all ages.

One of the busiest beaches at the height of summer is Playa de la Levante in Benidorm. This beach has been awarded the blue flag for cleanliness and safety and has calm waters making it ideal for bathing and perfect for children, it is around 2km long so there is plenty of room for everyone.

There is also the opportunity to indulge in some water sports while there with water skiing and jet skiing available. Underwater adventures can be had with a little scuba diving and for those who prefer a bird’s eye view paragliding is available.

Those searching for a quieter beach may head towards Playa de Poniente which is also in Benidorm. The beach has golden sands with several palm trees offering a natural shade from the sun. There are many bars and restaurants along the promenade and public toilets and showering facilities are also available.

Thought of by many to be the best beach in the whole of the Alicante region, the San Juan de Alicante beach in the northern Alicante region is huge. The beach itself is around 7km long, has the blue flag award and contains gorgeous golden sand. Beach sports like volleyball can be played here, and pedaloes can be hired for a trip on the water. For those who are not keen on relaxing on the beach there is an 18 hole golf course nearby, plenty of shops and restaurants. The beach also has access for the disabled.
